
Anime Arizona Convention Information & Policies
Welcome to the Anime Arizona Convention! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, please review our policies below.
Prohibited Items
The following items are not allowed at the convention:
- Firearms
- Knives/Blades
- Outside Food & Drink
- Lighters/Pyro
- Vapes
- Chains/Spiked Jewelry
- Confetti/Loose Glitter
- Hate Symbols & Profanity
Bag Policy
Bags are permitted but are subject to inspection upon entry to maintain safety and security.
Prop Weapons
- All bags and props will be security-checked upon entry.
- Functional weapons (real swords, knives, guns, etc.) are not permitted.
- Approved prop materials include foam, rubber, cardboard, plastic, and papier-mâché.
- Wooden props must be reviewed by security and must not have pointed ends.
- Prop firearms must have a brightly colored cap.
- Costumes with hate symbols are not allowed.
- All bladed props must be blunt; live steel is prohibited.
- Bows must have low string tension and cannot fire.
- Replica weapons purchased must remain boxed on the convention floor.
Cosplay and General Attire
- Costumes must not be lewd, obscene, or offensive.
- Outfits should cover at least as much as a typical bathing suit.
- Attendees in tight-fitting costumes must wear appropriate undergarments.
- Bare feet are prohibited; shoes are required at all times.
- Costumes must not obstruct walkways or traffic.
- Oversized costumes may require a designated handler.
- Costumes resembling law enforcement or military uniforms are not permitted.
Photography
- Attendees may bring cameras but must ask permission before photographing others.
- Do not obstruct walkways while taking photos.
- Interviewing or recording celebrity guests is not allowed.
- Large lighting setups require prior approval.
- Official photographs taken by Anime Arizona may be used for promotional purposes.
Pets/Service Animals
- Service animals are welcome; pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.
Anti-Harassment Policy
Harassment based on gender, race, disability, or other factors is strictly prohibited. Report any incidents to event staff or security. Staff can be identified by their uniforms.
Violation of Policies
Violation of any policies may result in ejection from the convention. If any policies are unclear, please contact us for clarification.
Liability Release Waiver
By purchasing a badge, attendees acknowledge understanding and acceptance of the following:
1. Release and Waiver: Attendees release Anime Arizona from liability for any injuries or damages incurred during the event.
2. Medical Treatment: Attendees release Anime Arizona from any claims related to first aid or medical treatments.
3. Assumption of Risk: Attendees assume the risk of injury associated with participation in event activities.
4. COVID-19 Risks: Attendees acknowledge the risks related to attending during the pandemic and assume responsibility for their health.
5. Photography Release: Attendees grant Anime Arizona the right to use any images taken during the event.
Health & Safety Guidelines
If you feel unwell, please do not attend the convention. Refunds are available upon request.
Code of Conduct
- Be respectful and considerate of others.
- Zero tolerance for discriminatory or harassing behavior.
- "Cosplay is not consent": always ask before touching another attendee.
ADA Accessibility
- ADA services are available at the Show Services Booth.
- Parking for disabled persons is provided.
- Wheelchair and scooter rentals can be arranged.
